DESCRIPTION: I was taken to Island Way Grill for my birthday dinner on 20th of July '02; so the following review is as of this date. I found the ambiance quite a pleasant mixture of space, glass and stonework. Tables are not crowded together as in most area restaurants, but efficiently spaced. Cleanliness was superior. Food quality and service was good, though I felt a bit rushed after dessert. Note the "Bait Bar"...yes, sushi chefs. Early specials are around $10 with salad, and house dessert is included. The 1-1/4 pound "steamed" lobster plate weighs in at $36. An optional "Bamboo" (surf-n-turf) can run $42 a plate. One surprise - the most nicely appointed restrooms I've seen in the area; but wheelchairs could have (very minor) door negotiation problems. Normally, I would only rate a facility as "partially accessable" unless there are electric doors, but this may be an exception. Second full bar outside, overlooks the docks.

DESCRIPTION: Food: I had stuffed Mahi Mahi and my boyfriend ordered red snapper but they were out of it so he switched to salmon. We also had sashimi tuna and oysters, fresh and yuammy. The flavor was very delicious, texture perfect, presentation ok. It arrived hot from the kitchen. Very fresh. The portions were very big. Service was good waiter helpful. Could answer questions about the menu. He make good recommendations. plates cleared away quickly. no trouble attracting our waiter's attention. Relaxed and beautiful. Ambiance amazing, the restaurant clean, a distinctive style and theme, waterfront , bathrooms clean and beautiful! To compare to other similar restaurants, I was pleasantly surprised will definitly come back!I felt we got a good deal for the price. recommend it to a friend for some special occasion : romantic dinner ...also a good place to go with a group. recommend making reservations!!!
